This gold leaf portrait of Sir Lewis Hamilton is created here in glue chipped glass to honour his amazing achievements both on and off the track.

The only formula One driver to be knighted whilst still driving in the history of the sport says volumes about his achievements, as do his seven World Drivers Championship wins.

An icon to many millions of fans for his style, demeanour and charitable work, he transcends the sport of Formula One more than almost any other driver in history, maybe with the exception of Ayrton Senna, of whom he is a large fan.

I have recreated his image here in glue chipped glass and 24 carat gold leaf for the portrait itself, along with seven abalone stars signifying his championship wins. Six in Petronas green and silver for the Mercedes wins and one in red and silver for his first McLaren win.

The piece is framed in a satin black frame with a gold sight line which really compliments the 24 carat gold leaf in the portrait.
